Record keeping

Staff keep detailed records of every child’s progress documenting their learning through photographs and observations and recording what children are doing. You can see this documentation around the nursery. Staff also record this information on a profile which is passed on to your child’s next school.

Learning Journey Books

Staff also keep a pupil learning journey book. This will be shared with you at Parents afternoons and evenings and we will ask you to contribute to it. This will build a picture of her/his interests, personality and strengths over the time your child is in the Nursery, and will show their progress in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
